In 2017, BARST will take his debut full album "The Western Lands" to the road. The album, which easily bridges the gap between drone, shoegaze, trance, postrock and mesmerizing metal music, was awarded a 5th place at CVLT Nation's best albums of 2016, and gathered universal acclaim in the international press.

BARST is essentially a one-man drone orchestra, but he invited a wide range of guest musicians to color in his debut album. People like Mike Armine (Rosetta), Dehn Sora (Treha Sektori), Ann-Sofie De Meyer (Fär), Karen Willems (Inwolves), Sal-Ocin (Empusae), Mathieu Mathlovsky (Mathlovsky) and Herr Man and Tokyo Oyo helped to create a mile stone in the field of adventurous and experimental music.

BARST has been described as a transcendental atmospheric black shoegaze math noise drone orchestra. Live on stage, the band takes you on a trip as known from bands like Swans and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
